For our tools and approaches to provide the stated outcomes, they must be implemented effectively and with fidelity. To assist educators in doing so, NEDRP offers coaching. The coaching cycle consists of several steps:
the coach will contact the campus administrator to determine their goals for the coaching visit;
model a tool with students for one or more educators or observe an educator implementing a tool with students;
meet with the educator(s) involved to answer questions, provide feedback, and offer suggestions; and
debrief with the campus administrator to answer questions and offer suggestions to enhance implementation
Coaching packages are priced per coach, per day. The number of coaches needed to be effective depends on several factors such as the number of educators to be coached, campus schedules, and the number of campuses involved. Coaching packages are developed in consultation with district or campus administrators.

Benefits of Coaching Support
Personalized Learning
Coaching provides personalized guidance tailored to the specific needs and goals of the individual educator. The coach can identify the educator’s strengths and areas for improvement, offering targeted support to enhance their use of the tools.
Skill Development
Observing a skilled coach model the tools allows the educator to witness best practices in action. By receiving constructive feedback and guidance during the coaching process, the educator can refine their skills and improve their ability to implement the tools effectively.
Increased Confidence
Through coaching, educators gain confidence in using the tools. Having an experienced coach validate their efforts and provide encouragement can boost their self-assurance, leading to more successful implementation in their teaching practice.
Troubleshooting and Problem-solving
Educators can seek guidance and ask questions during coaching sessions, leading to practical solutions for any challenges they encounter while using the tools. The experienced coach can provide strategies to overcome obstacles and maximize effectiveness.
Transfer of Expertise
Through modeling and observation, educators can learn how to use specific tools and gain valuable insights into effective implentation practices.
Sustainability and Long-term Impact
Coaching ensures that educators are equipped with the necessary skills to sustain the use of the tools in the long term. When educators feel confident and competent in their implementation, the impact of the tools on student learning and engagement is more likely to be sustained over time.
Building a Supportive Community
The coaching process fosters a supportive and collaborative environment. After coaching, educators can share experiences, successes, and challenges with their colleagues, creating a sense of community and professional growth.
